Inn At Hickory Run

We’ve stayed in both the Birch and Maple rooms, and we still couldn’t say which one we liked more. They’re private and romantic, with everything we needed. The whole property is beautiful, and stepping inside the first time left us in awe. Dave is an incredible host who makes sure you feel comfortable and relaxed from the welcome until you lock up at the end of your visit. The breakfast is one of the best damn ones we’ve had. This was our second stay, and my girlfriend and I loved it.

Our room was lovely and clean, with a fireplace and a private bath with a whirlpool tub. My husband and I spent two nights here in the fall, at this quiet wooded inn on the edge of Hickory Run State Park. Dave greeted us warmly and showed us to the private parking. Breakfast was a treat, with fresh pastries and fruit, stuffed French toast, and homemade quiche. In the evenings we also had hot cider, tea, and pastries. All the little touches made it clear Dave cared about our stay. Thanks, Dave, for a lovely visit.

We loved how easy it was to get here, just a 1.5 hr drive from Philly, and it’s ideally placed for exploring the state parks and Lehigh River Gorge. The rooms and inn were comfortable, quiet, and very clean, and Dave was attentive and accommodating. Even with COVID - 19 rules around distancing, masks, and group sizes, the visit didn’t feel restrictive. The stuffed apple French toast was amazing. Thanks, Dave, for a wonderful stay. We plan to come back and enjoy another season.

The homemade blueberry muffins were especially good, and breakfast overall was fabulous. My fiancé and I had a great time celebrating our 4 year dating anniversary here last weekend. The inn feels cozy and relaxing, and the owner was kind and gave us detailed suggestions for things to do nearby. We’ll definitely be back.
