T-Bird Motor Inn

I paid $141.19 for one night, and it was a joke. The shower didn't work, and neither did the microwave or fridge. The air conditioner barely put out any air and seemed on its last legs. The room was supposed to be non-smoking but reeked of cigarettes, and the phone didn't work. When I told the desk guy, he kept insisting everything worked. It didn't. The walls, especially in the bathroom, were filthy. Something spilled in the freezer had clearly been there a long time. When I opened the fridge, I ended up vomiting from the smell. There were no bath towels, just a little hand towel. The sheets and pillowcase were disgusting, and several bugs were crawling on the beds. This place is absolutely disgusting. They don't care, and it shouldn't even exist. Don't waste your money.

The staff went above and beyond, helped us find good local places to eat, and the Dutch Mill next door was great for breakfast with friendly staff. The pool and quiet grounds were clean, with lovely scenic lawns, chairs, and picnic tables. Our room was spacious and spotless, with large windows, plenty of towels, a good range of TV channels, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer, and quiet, effective air conditioning. Having adjoining rooms worked well for our family. We'd highly recommend staying here and will be back. Thanks for a great visit.

At least the bathroom in my room was clean. The room itself was depressing, though. It smelled awful, like stale, cheap motel odor from guests who'd ignored the no-smoking rule, and the smell got into my clothes. The carpet and upholstery were stained, and the furniture looked like it had been there since the early 80s. There are two buildings. The front one has the nicer rooms, while the back one looks like a much less maintained motel. I've stayed in worse places, but this wasn't a pleasant room to sleep in.

I've stayed here twice for a parent's weekend in Burlington, and I really like the place. Ron at the desk is patient, accommodating, and so nice. Lisa is lovely, too, and we had a nice chat about our college-age kids. The property is meticulously clean and well maintained. I've only been in the front rooms so far, though there are also rooms with a pool view. The shower pressure is great, which is a big plus for me. It's not fancy or kitschy, just a pleasant, clean place I'd recommend highly.
