Quality Inn White House

The parking lot was all ice, and I nearly fell. Housekeeping just watched while I tried to get back up. They also started banging on the door at 10 AM even though we had paid until 11. After I asked them to come back at 11, they knocked again ten minutes later to ask if I could leave yet. Breakfast is no longer offered. They said storms were keeping trucks from getting in. I've stayed here before without too many problems, and the remodel has made this basic hotel look nicer than it used to.

The remodeling is about the only thing this place has going for it. Their hot breakfast claim doesn't really hold up unless a waffle maker counts as hot food. Management can be extremely rude, and when housekeepers were cleaning nearby, they threw fits and swore in front of my kids. If they know you're traveling with children, they'll ask for a deposit and then find a reason to keep it, even if you've cleaned the room before leaving. I've traveled a lot for work and vacation, and this was a terrible stay. If you're coming with kids, stay somewhere else.

The whole room smelled vile, even if the place might look clean at first. I did at least have a phone, a microwave, a refrigerator, two Queen beds, and fresh soap. The ironing board and iron were there, but they weren't clean. Bring your own towels, sheets, and pillows since you don't know what people have done before you arrive. Pine sol might help cover up the room's smell.

No cleaning service came during the three days I was there, and both the room and bathroom were dirty. They wouldn't give me fresh towels until I handed over the used ones, but staff wouldn't come to the room to collect them or bring replacements, so I had to do it myself. Hotel workers were living there, and their kids ran around screaming all day. It was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. This is one of the worst hotels in White House, and I'd suggest Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn instead. The place is horrible.
