White Marsh Motel

The rooms are quiet, and there’s a big closet, a full-size dresser, and a kitchen area. No stove or oven, though, but Walmart sells a portable one for around $15. This seems like one of the better hotels or motels nearby aside from pricier places like the country inn. The main downside is the Wi-Fi, which didn’t work in the rooms across from the office, on the side opposite the bar and restaurant. It’s also much calmer than places like the colony, colonial, and the star farther up 40.

I didn’t get to stay here, though I’ve heard it’s a nice motel and the location looks convenient for stores and restaurants. I stopped by recently to ask about a long-term vacancy. The front desk employee was curt and rude, and yelled that there were no rooms available and she didn’t know when there would be. There’s a sign outside listing rates for contractors, and I had a work contract to show, but she still yelled at me. When I asked if she knew other motels nearby, she gave me a disgusted look and said it wasn’t her job to know.

A good option if you’re in a difficult spot, and the prices aren’t too steep.

For a day, a weekend, or especially a long stay, this is the best place around.
