The Opus Westchester — Autograph Collection

The pool area could use updating. We expected to order food and drinks there, but there was nobody around except the lifeguard, so we left. The rest of our overnight stay was pleasant. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and well maintained, and the hotel side of things made it easy to relax.

I've stayed at Opus often, and it's by far the nicest hotel in the area. Vanessa is a big part of why I enjoy returning. She's always pleasant and efficient, remembers my name, and makes seeing a familiar face after traveling really nice. She goes above and beyond when she can. On a recent late evening arrival, she knew room service was about to close. She checked whether I'd had dinner and called in an Opus burger for me. Vanessa is a delight, and Opus is lucky to have her.

The hotel is nice and probably your best choice in White Plains, but service was just okay. Some staff were very friendly and others a bit stiff. If fragrances or chemicals bother you, be careful. I checked in and had to leave by 10:20 PM because I couldn't stay overnight. The deodorizer used throughout the hotel was so strong I could taste it, and within minutes it gave me a headache and nausea. The smell saturated the air, and the room was uninhabitable for me.

We usually choose The Iconic Marriott Marquis Times Square, but this time we tried The Opus Westchester, Autograph Collection, and I’m glad we did. The polished, inviting decor set a lovely tone, and Tiffany and the rest of the staff made the stay feel easy. Everyone was warm and attentive, and they handled every request promptly without hesitation. As Marriott Bonvoy members, we were really pleased with the service.
