The hotel itself was really nice, and the rooms were very clean after the recent renovation and change of owner. A homeless guy outside did scare me, though.

I’ve stayed here 7-8 times because it’s close to my parents’ house, and it’s gotten worse with every visit. This last stay was the final straw. After a 13-hour drive, I found a roach in the shower. It was gross, but I wanted to shower and sleep, so I dealt with it. The next morning, worms were crawling out from under the bathroom door. I’d planned to extend my stay for a couple more days, but decided to spend my money somewhere else.

The front desk guy was nice and very chill. But the cigarette smell was awful. The whole building, and especially the floor, smelled like an ashtray. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and motels, good and bad, and never had one smell that strongly of cigarettes. Our room was even worse. It’s cheap, sure, but a little care to make the place smell and look better would go a long way. We heard two fights while we were there. That may not be the hotel’s fault, but I did get sick during my stay. I was there because work was right up the road. If you can afford somewhere else, I wouldn’t stay here. I’ll know better next time.

They charged me for a room, then refused to let me have it because I had my registered service animal with me. It wasn’t a pet. They also wouldn’t refund my money. The guy’s a crook. I called the cops to file a report.
