We were there for a Quinceañera, but the room smelled like musty urine. They tried to cover it with deodorizer. The toilet and tub/shower were dirty, and when I asked the front desk for an extra blanket and pillowcases, they said everything was being washed and they had none. I woke up with bites. It was getting cold at night, so I really don’t think they were mosquitoes. Red flags all over. I’d avoid this hotel and stay somewhere else.

The continental breakfast was basic: coffee, orange juice, dry cereal with milk, yogurt, and Hostess dessert cakes. My accessible king room was clean and neat, though the furniture was bulky and hard to get around with crutches.

The noise made it impossible to unwind or sleep. The walls are paper thin, with banging and shouting going on late into the night, and the hallway reeked of cigarettes even though the hotel claimed it was non-smoking. I smelled it as soon as I came in, and it never let up. I booked a suite at the Super 8 in Whitewater, Wisconsin, after seeing the online photos and expected a clean, decent room. Instead it was filthy, run down, and way overpriced. The furniture was broken and stained, like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The hot tub looked grimy and unsanitized. There was something on the shower wall that looked like feces, though I later learned it was chipped brown paint. Either way, appalling. The photos were misleading, and the price for that “suite” was absurd. I’ve stayed in much nicer places for a fraction of the cost, and honestly feel scammed. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, family or friends. I wish I could get a refund. This stay felt like an insult. Stay somewhere else.

The only good part was the guy at the desk, who was really nice and welcoming. We ended up here June 28-29 because all the other hotels nearby were booked, and I won’t be back, especially not for $150 a night. The room smelled strongly of weed when we walked in. There was black mold on the window, the ceiling over the shower looked ready to collapse, and the bathroom fan looked like it might fall off. Tape was on the toilet paper holder, and the toilet had water streaks that some bowl cleaner left for 10 to 15 minutes should have handled. The wall beside it looked like someone had tried to put out a cigarette there. The tub had soapy residue, and I almost slipped getting into the shower. The pillows were small, their cases yellowish, and the sheet looked cut, with white powder at the side and what seemed like a blood stain on the brown part. There were scuff marks on the walls and the lamp was really dirty. Someone left towels and trash outside their door all night. The towels were gone by morning, but the trash was still there.

The bathroom has a mold issue, and the shower curtain and chairs were stained. There were already damaged, stained chairs when I arrived. I also felt they were extremely rude and expected two towels to last the whole stay. I wouldn’t recommend the place. The Bay Mint costs the same, so go there. I took pictures of the room before unpacking and sent them to court. No one stole anything or caused damage. The photos and timestamps show what was there. I wasn’t going to say anything until they became rude. Please check your room and don’t do business with them. They’ll lie, as they tried to do this time. He said in his own response that they painted over the mold. Maybe they’d do better business if they respected people in their community. The charity already said they wouldn’t do business with them because they were clearly lying, and I had sent the pictures.
