Comfort Suites Whitsett - Greensboro East

We picked this place because it sat about halfway between the places we planned to visit: Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston Salem, Danville Caesar's Casino. Turned out to be a great location, with a grocery store across the street and several places to eat nearby, including a Zaxby's close to the parking lot. The room was roomy, the beds had just the right balance of soft and firm, and the shower stayed hot with strong pressure. There's also a small indoor pool. For the price, this was a perfect hotel. We'll likely use it again when we come to North Carolina.

The stay itself was ordinary, but the follow-up afterward was really disappointing. My son left his wallet in the room, and I called three days in a row. Each time, I was told it hadn't been found, even though we're sure he left it there. There was money in it that his grandmother had given him for the trip, along with his Barnes & Noble card, which makes this especially concerning. I expected the hotel to follow up and offer more support with a lost item.

General Manager Megan eventually found my son's Apple Watch after checking the room again and doing some extra research, then called me right away. That was a huge relief after we'd accidentally left it behind. Earlier, Judy at the night desk had personally checked the room, and Wendy was patient and reassuring the next morning despite my many calls. She thought the watch was probably in the office. The service from check-in through check-out was excellent, and Judy, Wendy, and Megan made a stressful situation much easier. Thank you all.

The room could've been cleaner. I was glad I'd learned from past stays and brought my own cleaning supplies for the bathroom floor, bedside table, and side door. The side entrance also stayed open all night, which didn't feel very secure. The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was a nice extra.
