Lambert Inn

The room I got was dirty and unsanitary. It had a noticeable mildew or mold smell, and after walking in with my 3-year-old son, I saw that the bottoms of his feet were black. My shoes were black underneath too. Looking closer, the floor had a layer of dirt, lint, hair, grime, and other contaminants that seemed to have been there for a while. I’d booked and paid days ahead for a jacuzzi room, and called hotel staff the day before to confirm. But when I arrived around 3:30 p.m., half an hour after check-in, they’d sold it to someone else. I had to pay again in cash for a regular room, and was told to cancel online to get a refund for the original booking. The only reason I chose this place was the jacuzzi room. Since missing the cancellation window means a fee equal to the whole reservation cost, I can see how selling my room could get them paid twice.

The furniture was old and in bad shape, and smoke kept drifting into the room from people outside. Even though I’d booked a non-smoking room, it smelled of smoke. There was no breakfast in the morning.

The AC worked really well, but that was about it. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and there were two roaches in the bathroom. The area felt sketchy, and someone knocked on our door at 2 a.m. The owner said it was the crazy homeless people in the area. I’ll never stay again.

The owners were really rude. The older man and his wife both acted like we were a burden. I’d smile at her and get dirty looks back, and even when we went up to pay, they seemed irritated.
