Baymont by Wyndham Wichita Falls

Breakfast was the bright spot, thanks to the person in charge who kept everything neat and well stocked. The staff were courteous and seemed to communicate well with each other. Still, the stay didn’t feel as good as last year. Housekeeping had left used linens in my room, and there weren’t any washcloths. The back stairwell door was also left open several times, even late at night, which didn’t feel very secure.

We couldn’t stay, and now the property won’t refund us. My wife and I arrived to check in last night and were told, unexpectedly, that a deposit was required. Nobody had mentioned it during the reservation process. I calmly pointed that out, but the staff member responded rudely and unprofessionally, then threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave instead of trying to sort it out. The whole experience was unacceptable and disappointing. Based on what happened, I wouldn’t recommend this property.

I’ve stayed at other Baymont locations without trouble, so this was especially disappointing. The deposit requirement wasn’t clearly disclosed before my wife and I arrived to check in. When I calmly asked about it, the staff member was rude and disrespectful, and we felt unwelcome. Management handled the situation poorly, and it escalated without anyone giving us clear information. We didn’t feel comfortable staying, and we’re having difficulty getting a refund. This reflects badly on the property’s customer service. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The elevator takes so long to get downstairs that you start thinking it’s stopped working, lol. We also got charged an extra $150 over photos of dog poop in the room, even though there wasn’t any. The elevators are in rough shape. We won’t stay there again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
