Super 8 by Wyndham Wichita Falls

Nothing fancy, but the hotel is clean and well kept. The bed is comfortable and the shower gets hot, which are the things that matter most to us. We’ve stayed twice.

Everything looks new, and they did a great job remodeling. The room is bright with four recessed lights, and has larger new refrigerators, microwaves, fresh paint, a desk with a nice chair, and an extra easy chair. The tubs were clean, the beds were nice, and free Netflix, yay! Lots of parking right outside the rooms, in a great area with nice people working here. The price is excellent. I think I’m a Wyndham person now. Don’t hesitate to stay, even for an extended visit.

We were charged extra for our service dog because the clerk insisted on paperwork. I tried showing him the ADA website information that service animals don’t have real paperwork, but he wouldn’t engage with it. The owner, manager, and front desk staff need to learn more about service animals. Our room was dirty too, with roaches in the fridge and throughout the bathroom. One bed had dirty sheets, marked as if someone had stood on it or put a dirty shoe on it, as the photo shows. We stayed only because we’d already been driving for over ten hours. I’ll never return and don’t recommend this place.

The front office brushed me off when I reported that the toilet kept running after every flush. They told me to shut off the water underneath and wait for maintenance. More than three weeks later, I’m still waiting. The lights also work only when they feel like it, and there was a power outage with no explanation. Outside, there’s a serious bee and hornet problem. A guy walks around slapping at them, which only makes them angry, and I got stung. The staff are rude and the customer service is absolutely horrible. Super 8, more like super can wait. There’s nothing super or great about this place.
