The suite cost $200, yet so much in it was broken. The room floors were disgusting, the shower had almost no pressure, and the complimentary products were empty. Breakfast was closed on two of the four days. We couldn’t cook because the stove didn’t work, and even after asking for help, we got no assistance or offer to move to a functional room. The whole stay was disappointing and gross. You’d be better off booking at Motel 6.

The room was an apartment-style suite, and I was pleasantly surprised by its condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful, parking felt secure, and the price was right. The location seemed safe. My room was right by the elevator, so it got noisy at times, but that wasn’t a problem for me. There were a few maintenance issues I could live with. The handheld showerhead had no wall mount and the hotel hadn’t fixed it, so I zip-tied it to the rail myself. I couldn’t find the TV remote when I arrived and didn’t watch TV. The WiFi was a bit weak but worked. Breakfast was adequate, with good biscuits and okay coffee, and the dining room was adequate too. I wasn’t sure the sausage gravy was at a safe temperature, though it didn’t make me sick.

Our first stay was fine, but this second visit was a different story. We’re simple people and don’t ask for much, and we were barely in the room either time. This time, though, it was filthy, with dust hanging from the walls, an unvacuumed carpet, and counters and cabinets that hadn’t been cleaned. The shower curtain was missing, and the conditioner bottle that hangs on the wall was empty. When I called, they gave me a curtain that was still wet, as if it had just been taken from another room. It wasn’t a big deal at the time. After checkout, the hotel emailed us for feedback. My wife left an honest three-star review describing the problems, and the owner or manager replied that “people like us getting pink hair dye all over things is killing the hotel industry.” Then they charged us $10 for a towel they claimed had pink dye on it. We had nothing pink in the room. The towels are half the size of a normal shower towel. There was no way to dispute the charge. We’ll stay elsewhere from now on. Be ready for disappointing rooms and, in our experience, a charge we believe was unfair.

The rooms and beds are great, and my rooms have always been clean. Parking is well lit, the service has been great, and the laundry is available and the ice machine works. The hotel is reasonably priced and sits in a mostly residential area near major roads. It’s not within walking distance of many activities. Breakfast is available, though I’ve slept too well here to get up in time for it.
