Candlewood Suites Wichita Airport by IHG

I relocated to Wichita and stayed here for four months because dogs were allowed. I went through three rooms, and all of them smelled. I didn't understand why the whole hotel stank until later in my stay, when sinks, toilets and showers backed up, and water leaked from above through the ceiling. The laundry room and gym had leaks in their walls and ceilings too. In the room I had for three months, the bathroom ceiling finally gave way, with sewage coming through the lights and old popcorn ceiling. It exposed mold and smelled horrible. Before I left at the end of October, they aired out the room for two weeks with the door open after moving me, and the hallway still smelled awful. The place changes between Candlewood and Sonesta every few years. They put in new flooring and remodeled the front desk and changed the name, but it doesn't look like they fixed the plumbing. Booking.com and other sites still had new reviews mentioning ceiling leaks at the end of 2025 and into 2026. Nobody seemed to care, even when I said the place made me sick. The location's slum owner or management never spoke to me. I sent Candlewood all my pictures and videos. I had itchy eyes and coughed throughout my stay, and I've continued to feel sick since then. If you want a smelly place with old furniture, plumbing problems and likely hidden dangers in the walls, you can stay here. If you have a problem, don't expect a dollar back. And yes, Mr. owner or management, it's the same address, 570 s julia st. Nice try saying I had the wrong hotel just because you change it from Sonesta to Candlewood and back and forth. I have lots of videos of the location too. I've been trying to reach you for months. Is this the first time you've heard my name?

Comfortable beds, quiet rooms and a really friendly staff are what I look for, and Candlewood Suites has all three. It's an easygoing, no-frills hotel. Bravo!

Everything else was good, but a problem with the circuit panel cut power to the microwave.

The staff were truly amazing, and my room was very clean and comfortable.
