At 3:30am, the desk clerk wanted to charge me $80 for a couple of hours, even though the room rate online showed $54. Watch out, this broad seemed to be after some quick cash.

I’m staying here now, and the motel is great. It’s spacious and very nice. The fridge is huge, and while there’s no stove or oven, that’s understandable. There’s a double sink, a nice-sized bathroom, two closets and a dresser in the bedroom, and a DIRECTV in there too. The living room has an Onn Roku TV. The bed is huge and there’s air conditioning. The only downside is that pets aren’t allowed. Love this place.
The way the place is managed concerns me. People go into rooms while guests are out, which seems like it could be an attempt to steal something. They’re reluctant to provide room service even though you’re paying to stay there. When the owner is away, there’s dangerous behavior going on, and the person left to manage the office does nothing about it. Nearby businesses have taken losses because people staying here commit crimes. In my view, management lacks judgment and only cares about collecting daily and weekly rates, which are questionable too. There’s poor staffing, poor management, poor maintenance, and the rooms are in poor condition. One star doesn’t give this place the lack of recognition it deserves. Check the rates on the website. Don’t call to ask, it could save you money in the long run. Based on what I experienced and other reasons I can’t legally reveal, I think this place will be closed very soon.
I stayed for two weeks because of an abrupt situation, and the room was clean. The bathrooms could use some work. Bring shower shoes and Lysol wipes, and maybe incense or something to spray. It’s not that the place stank, but it gets musky after a hot shower. The cable TV is a lie, though. It’s $60 a night Monday through Thursday and $65 Friday through Sunday. They don’t offer a weekly rate, and I wish I could’ve gotten a discount for paying daily. The receptionists are really nice. There are smoking and smoke-free rooms, Dollar General across the street, Bigsby coffee down the street, and Speedway not far away.
I have mixed feelings, but I’m still a loyal customer. They’ve helped me in a lot of ways, especially when I was homeless. I wish they charged extra for dogs, since untrained pets are an issue and then I’d have spent more money there. Bring your own blankets. It’s a local business I like supporting.
