Ala Moana Motel

We booked this place last minute for a quick trip and had a fabulous stay. The staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean, with plenty of room. It was within walking distance of lots of restaurants, the boardwalk, and the beach. The price was reasonable, and we had a private balcony. The only downside was that it wasn't beachfront. Honestly, I'd stay again, though I wish it were oceanfront.

A wonderful place to stay, and definitely a hidden gem. It was unbelievably clean, with consistent cleaning and upkeep from the staff. The atmosphere was amazing and totally relaxing. It's off the beaten path, but still close enough to walk. This is our new go-to place.

The rooms were very clean, and the whole property is well maintained. We used the small kitchen and shared grill area, and there were plenty of chairs and lounges by the pool. The bedroom is at the back, so we slept quietly even when people were walking by. It's also within walking distance of the convention center. A lovely stay at this hidden gem.

For our second visit, my daughter-in-law and I stayed in the same room my husband and I had the week before, with all the same comforts. It was raining, and the staff told us to park behind the motel and use the covered ramp and elevator so we wouldn't get drenched carrying our luggage. Such a thoughtful gesture. I definitely recommend the Ala Moana Motel, and booking directly by phone can save money compared with using a booking site. My husband and I had first stayed for one night on Wed, May 22, 2025, before going to a CG graduation in Cape May the next day. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean, the beds comfortable, and there was plenty of parking. The kitchenette looked nice, though we didn't use it. We had dinner at Little Italy. The food was delicious: shrimp linguine and salad for me, chicken cutlets for my husband, and delicious Italian bread. I booked another night for Wed, May 28, so my daughter-in-law and I could do some thrifting and antiquing in Wildwood and Cape May. The motel is within walking distance of the boardwalk and beach.
