Aqua Beach Hotel

We needed a room for four adults, and the extra sofa bed was helpful. The place was clean, smelled okay, and had what a family might need for a few days: a full fridge, microwave, plates, cups, silverware, glasses, plus an extra sink and hair dryer outside the bathroom, which made getting ready easier. When we asked for more blankets and pillows for the sofa bed, they arrived half an hour later. Service was good. The elevator broke one day, but the walk wasn’t terrible. The rooftop hammocks and seating were nice. We had picked a rainy time to visit, but still had a good time. Parking is tight, life cubes cost money, there’s a washer and dryer for everyone to share, and every room has a chair outside. We stayed two nights. For a hotel in Wildwood, it was okay.

The rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly, and we had a great stay. It’s a great spot for the beach and boardwalk. My only complaint is that the lights outside the rooms are so bright, and the blinds don’t block them, so it felt like sleeping with a light on. Curtains might help. I like a dark room, so it took some getting used to.

The towels caught fire, and the alarms didn’t work. Emergency services came, but no alarms went off. We paid a lot and still had to pay for ice, while the rooms were dirty, broken, and poorly maintained, with chipped furniture, peeling paint, questionable stains, and sand everywhere. The rooms we walked into were small and outdated, nothing like what was described online. The staff were unfriendly and unaccommodating. Every question seemed to bother them, and we got more eye rolls than help. The girl at the front with black hair had a bad attitude. People parked in spots without handicap placards, and it was a total mess. We booked the Aqua Beach Hotel for a relaxing getaway, but it became one of our most disappointing trips. We could have booked a beautiful Airbnb for that money. Never again. Please avoid it.

The rooms and facility were clean, and staff helped when needed. The towels were the one big problem: literally like sandpaper, and the worst I’ve ever had at any stay in my life. Other guests said the same. For the price per night, that was a huge disappointment. Get better towels and maybe we’ll consider coming back.
