The staff’s lack of concern was the worst part of our two-night stay. I saw several guests complain about hot rooms while checking out, and the desk employee was rude and dismissive, saying he couldn’t issue refunds. When I reported our own problems three times to two different employees and asked for a room change or a cleaning, they said all rooms were the same and used the same photos. Nobody ever swept or cleaned our room during the stay. Our fourth-floor room looked nothing like the spacious, clean room shown online. It was tiny, built into what seemed to be the attic, with sloped ceilings and little room to move. There was no elevator, and we had to haul luggage up four very narrow flights of stairs. The hallways and common areas had barely any air conditioning and felt over 90 degrees, so we were drenched in sweat by the time we reached the room. The place also had flies clustered around common areas because many windows were open without screens, and large cobwebs hung around. The second-floor hallway smelled strongly of mildew, apparently from water leaking from the ice machine onto the carpet. In our room, a hairball about the size of a baseball was on the floor. I first thought it was a rat. There was sand everywhere even though we'd just checked in and hadn't been to the beach. My father's room also had a human fingernail that clearly wasn't his, which made us wonder whether the rooms had been cleaned at all. There were maintenance problems too: the bathtub drain cover was loose with a visible opening, and part of the shower wall had come away from the wall behind it. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and the TV was tiny. The only microwave for the whole hotel was in the lobby, and it smelled so strongly of turmeric that you noticed it as soon as you walked up. The room photos may not show what you actually get. Between the attic-like room, heat, dirt, repairs needed, mildew, flies, uncomfortable bed, and dismissive service, I would never stay here again.

We showed up around 2 am and got a room quickly. The front desk employee was efficient, and at first glance the building and area both looked nice. We got two keycards, which was convenient, and reached the room without much trouble. On the way, though, there was a grumpy-looking guy sitting outside the room next to ours. The room smelled like sewage as soon as we walked in, and the bathroom was even worse. There were holes in the wall trim, a badly patched hole in the wall, and rust on the lamp. The mattress was comfortable, but the sheet on my boyfriend’s side slid off and exposed a brown stain. The TV was small and only had old channels. The window AC looked old but surprisingly worked. The rooms didn't look like the online photos, and the price felt high for a place with holes in the walls and outdated electronics. We were only there for the rest of the night, so the stay was okay. Checkout was at 11, but we left earlier. There was a little box for returning keycards, which was useful since nobody was at the front desk when we left.
