Beach Terrace Motor Inn

I stayed here in 2025, and the front desk staff did their job, though they didn’t seem to care. The restaurant was closed. The AC worked well, so well that turning it on froze us out, but the room was old and the beds were garbage. The edges sagged so badly you’d end up on the floor. I had to spray the room with Fabreeze, and the sliding glass doors were pitted and needed replacing. This was once a fashionable hotel, but it needs a serious facelift from an owner who isn’t just trying to milk it. I’ve been coming to Wildwood since the early 70s and have stayed in many hotels. This one sums itself up with “Their give a damn is busted.” Read the reviews.

I visited in June 2025 and took photos of the issues I’m describing so other people can make an informed choice. The location is convenient to local attractions, and some rooms have a decent view, but I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone wanting a safe, pleasant stay. The first room I was assigned hadn’t been cleaned, and staff acknowledged that and moved me. The second had been “made up,” but there were visible cracks, peeling paint, mold on the lampshades, rusted fixtures, and exposed wires in the walls. I photographed the problems and sent them to management. The balcony doors didn’t work, and all the balconies connect, so anyone could move from room to room. I didn’t feel safe leaving valuables there or leaving the balcony door unlocked. The pool seemed to be the only area that was maintained. The hot tubs looked like failed science experiments, and I saw no sign they’d been cleaned in a long time. DJ noise from several places next door was appalling at all hours, day and night. When I asked to cancel my last night, management first told me to “dispute the charge with your credit card.” I couldn’t do that because the contract says all nights are non-refundable. After I pointed that out, they refused to credit the night and said I still had to pay.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We went into the room an hour after check-in, after the staff had cleaned it, and there was literally feces on the bathroom wall. We also walked in on the maids smoking pot, and they said they needed more time to clean. The manager Daniel was rude, disrespectful, and falsely arrogant. He needs to learn customer service. Save yourself the trip and a little self-respect. Avoid this place at all costs!

The owner or family member wasn’t friendly or helpful, just sat there on the phone. We arrived early and weren’t allowed to park, even though the lot was huge. The excuse was that they had to “clean the parking lot,” so we paid to park next door. Closer to check-in at 4pm, which is stupid too, they let us use the pool, but it was freezing and the hot tubs were dirty and NOT HOT. The room seemed nice at first, but there weren’t enough towels for a big family, and they were like small, thin dishcloths. There was a big HAIR ball in the toilet and seagull shit on things outside on the balcony. The coffee maker had no coffee samples. Apart from making the beds, it didn’t seem like the maids did anything. And if you want to smell wacky weed all night, you can do that here, it comes through the walls. Don’t stay here!!!! Stay at landmark!!! Nicer there!!!
