Staybridge Suites North - Albuquerque by IHG

Breakfast was probably the saddest I've had at a hotel. The scones were hard and dry, and the juice was thick and too sweet. I didn't bother eating there after the first morning. The location worked well for everywhere I needed to go in Northern Albuquerque and was close to the Pan American highway. The room was outdated and needs refurbishing, though it was passably clean. The tub was stained, and the floor corners needed cleaning. The bed was comfortable. I was surprised to find a full kitchen with a couple of burners, a fridge, dishwasher, and dishes. They let me check in early, which was nice. But while I was getting ready to shower after traveling, someone tried to enter the room. They stopped when I yelped. I pressed the security lock fully into place and called the front desk. The man there didn't seem to care and guessed it was a housekeeper. He never followed up. It left me unsettled and anxious that night. The next day, a young woman with glasses at the desk was kind and understanding, and offered to redo my keys as a precaution. The man should learn from her how to make solo female guests feel safe, including redoing the keys right away if this happens again. Since I was here for business, I'd probably choose somewhere a bit nicer next time.

Our room had to be changed when we arrived, and they handled that well. The stay was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly. My only complaint is that the breakfast area needs more space. I'd highly recommend Staybridge Suites!

Breakfast was good, the staff were nice, and the place was pretty clean. The garbage disposal didn't work, but it didn't spoil the trip. We always enjoy staying here and plan to come back.

This has become my favorite place in the area, whether I'm traveling alone or with family, for work or for fun. The front desk staff are friendly and really helpful. Sapphire is a gem. It's a lovely touch when people remember you and your preferences. Jason checked me in most recently, and he had such a nice manner. The service and amenities make for an enjoyable, safe, secure stay.
