Blue Water Motel

I've been coming to Wildwood for over 10 years. The rooms are on the small side, and so are the beds, and they don't clean them every day. The woman at the desk seemed bothered by everything the kids did while playing outside or in the pool.

This place is a complete scam. I paid $1,000 for five nights in a suite for six, then they tried to add another $250 for my three children, saying it was $50 per child per night. I saw no sign or warning about that charge. When I asked for a refund, they refused and told me to pay the extra amount or lose the $1,000. I eventually got someone to agree to refund me, but they charged a $100 fee. Owner, blaming Expedia doesn't apply here. I never used them. I've booked through Hotels.com for 15 years and never had a hotel add a per-person charge after taking payment for a six-person suite. You knew I had more than two guests, which is why you called to ask how many people were coming. You also knew the booking was nonrefundable and still tried to get more money from me, even though you knew we were a family traveling with kids. Hotels.com offered me a full refund, but you refused. Then you said you'd refund it and charged me $100. Doing this to a family away from home is disgusting. Avoid this motel.

The desk guy is so nice, and the room may be the cleanest I've ever stayed in. It was a little small, but we barely spent time there. The pool was clean and well cared for. I'd definitely recommend it.

The place felt dirty and unsanitary, and the room smelled like stink bugs. I asked for Lysol and they didn't even know what it was. We booked just one night and I had no spare clothes to protect myself from bed bugs. We were exhausted from the beach all day, so we didn't leave right away, but I couldn't wait to get out. What a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone, even my worst enemy.
