Conca D'or Motel

We had a great ocean-view room just seconds from the beach, with a newly updated kitchen and a king-size bed. They're working on updating the other rooms too. The staff were understanding, professional, and very accommodating after our awful experience at Bal Harbor. The pool was well kept and had a small slide that was perfect for our five-year-old.

I didn't feel safe because the door lock was so old and the deadbolt didn't work. The room itself was okay. They brought fresh towels every day and took out the trash. It seemed to be family run, but not everyone was friendly. The older woman in the office was the friendliest. The price was okay, but I wouldn't stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed for the first time last weekend and had a great visit. We liked the room, pool, location, and owners. It's a small place, and they make you feel welcome. We'll definitely return next year.

The room smelled stale and moldy, the tub was disgusting, and the carpet was gross and crusty. We only stayed one night, because I refused to bathe my daughters in that tub. The mattresses didn't have bed bug protectors, which I think every hotel and motel should be required to use. We were on the third floor with a nice view, but the balcony door wouldn't close properly and had no lock. With two small children, we couldn't enjoy the view, and the setup felt so unsafe. I can't believe they can legally operate with the building in this condition. We'd never stay again. There were numerous “NO REFUNDS” signs around the front desk, which was my first clue we'd made a bad choice. I can imagine plenty of people would want their money back. After I posted a review, they blocked me on Facebook. So professional.
