I found mold in the shower and organic growth around the window seals. There were live and dead bugs around the windows, crawling on them too, and they weren’t flies. The rooms are spacious, but the beds and pillows left us sore when we woke up. I also heard water running steadily, then saw it coming through the ceiling from the bathroom above, not from my shower. I moved a ceiling panel to check. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room felt humid and musty, which made sense once I heard water and lifted the drop-ceiling panel in the shower. A steady stream was leaking from the second-floor bathroom into the first-floor one. I have a video showing it, but the website won’t let me upload the full clip. Also, the hotel isn’t close to any major interstates.

Everything here is very basic. The beds are so worn down that it feels like sleeping on the box spring, and I feel congested whenever I leave. My employer makes us stay there.

The front desk was pleasant and refunded us, though no one apologized. We left right away and I wouldn’t recommend the place. After checking in, we noticed the floor hadn’t been swept and there was trash under the table. The TV didn’t work either. The sheets looked clean, but when I came back from the bathroom after changing, I saw a bed bug crawling up the end of the mattress. We had a double queen accessible room, and packed up immediately.

We had a great stay while visiting family, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. The one star off was for the room being a little dated. The Box Car Cafe in the hotel served great food, stayed open late, and I loved everything we ordered. Thanks for making the visit memorable!
