Arizona Sunset Inn

Starting the morning with coffee and sunrise at Dos Cabezas next door was lovely, then Paul made breakfast to order at the hotel. It really hit the spot, much better than the bagged-egg breakfasts at chain hotels. We were only passing through Wilcox for a night, but choosing this place worked out great. The room was clean, comfortable, and fairly priced for a simple stay. There are a few places to eat nearby, and the area has a nice small-town feel. Such a quiet stay, too.

La Unica was a fantastic dinner recommendation from the staff. At the motel, we found a clean room, very comfortable beds, easy parking, and staff who were extremely nice. The rooms are updated and attractive, a good fit for travelers who want somewhere pleasant rather than a luxury motel. I didn’t try the included breakfast, though it looked well put together. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The location worked out especially well for our wine tasting trip to Willcox. Golden Rule's tasting room is right across the street, and the amazing coffee shop is an easy walk away. We were happy with the clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff, too. The breakfast burrito was amazing, especially the salsa, though I wish I knew where they get it. The 15-year-old resident dog wanders around checking on people and is so sweet. I don't remember seeing a pool, but maybe we were too tipsy to notice. 😂

We were glad to stop here instead of choosing a hotel chain. It’s a simple place with a certain charm, lovely staff, and rooms that are well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable, too. I’d definitely recommend it.
