Granzella's Inn

The woman working the desk when I checked in around 4 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2026, deserves a lot of praise. She had a great attitude during a busy stretch between 4 and 5, found me a good room even though I had no reservation, and tracked down a phone charger someone had left behind. I saw her help at least ten guests, many of them tired, older, and impatient. She was awesome. Thank you!

I was sick with a bad sinus infection and stopped for the night, hoping to get to bed early, even though I expected little sleep because the hotel is near a busy restaurant. Instead, I slept better than I have in a long time. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was as spotless as you'd expect at a busy hotel by the freeway. I heard nothing from the lot or freeway, and the lot cleared once the restaurant closed at nine. The A/C worked well, and I could open the windows for fresh air in the morning. The breakfast bar was generous and the room was very clean. My room was super affordable, even with my dog, and the staff were friendly without being intrusive. I'll definitely stop here again on my next Central Valley trip. You can't get this close to Interstate 5 and find this kind of clean peace and quiet anywhere else. Thanks, Granzella’s Inn!

The location right off the freeway makes this a perfect halfway stop for us when heading south from Oregon, and we plan to come back. We'd stopped at the deli many times before for its great fresh-made takeaway food, so I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel too. Our clean downstairs ADA room was roomy, with a fridge, microwave, TV, free WiFi, and a comfortable bed. Front desk and cleaning staff were friendly, helpful, and smiling. There were refreshments and homemade cookies at check-in, plus a clean hot soaking tub and an unheated pool. We thought the pool area could use more decor or plants. Breakfast was decent, with several choices, and restaurants on the property were easy to walk to. We also got 10% off coupons with the keys. The room had a roomy bathroom, too.

We had a rough night because the bed felt too firm and uncomfortable for us. The fridge wasn't very cold, so I'd only keep water in it, not leftovers. We were also disappointed that the Jacuzzi was broken after a 13-hour drive. I'd called ahead to ask about hours, and the woman didn't know it was broken, though she did try to fix it. If you need a completely dark room to sleep, note that the nice shutters don't block the parking lot lights. We don't need total blackout, so it was fine for us. There were lots of positives too: a clean, great room in a safe area, a quiet air-conditioner, a coffee pot outside the bathroom, and a refrigerator. At check-in they had cookies, tea, and lemonade. Breakfast was cold continental food, and they gave us three 10% coupons for Granzella's restaurant, where the food is delicious.
