We'd had good stays at the Residence Inn next door, where the room also cost less, so we expected more from this Holiday Inn. The service didn't measure up. The breakfast area was cramped, and several machines were broken, which made the morning inconvenient. We asked for a late checkout and were turned down. We also requested extra soap and shampoo, but they never came.

The room was spacious and clean, but the cigarette smell in both the room and bathroom was strong and seemed like it had been there for a while. We were too tired to ask for another room. Then the guests above us or next door kept flushing the toilet, and I'd lost count by about the 12th time. Our room was right by the elevator, so we heard the chime whenever it stopped or passed our floor, along with people talking. We mentioned the smoke to the front desk clerk, though I wonder if anything will be done. We've stayed at lots of Holiday Inn Express hotels, and this one was on our way home from Penn State, which we visit often. Maybe other rooms are better, but we won't stay here again.

It's an easy walk to downtown and the Susquehanna Riverwalk. The room was large and clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of variety and tasted good, and the coffee was good too. The laundry machines looked new and were clean. The AC units were very loud, though I got used to them.
10/10
I've been at the Holiday Inn Williamsport by IHG for two weeks, and the service has been consistently good. My room is comfortable and clean, and the friendly staff make me feel welcome and looked after.
10/10
The food and friendly staff were great, and the rooms were impeccably clean. The location was good and the price was amazing. I'll definitely come back.
