Mayfair Inn

The whole property was disgusting, especially the room, and it had bed bugs. We couldn’t bring ourselves to touch anything or even bring in our bags, but they still refused a refund. The pictures are fake, and the place clearly doesn’t meet health code standards. I suspect they’re keeping the money because the negative reviews are increasing and they need some revenue before the place gets shut down. Beware of this place. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We left because it didn’t feel safe to stay with our children, but they wouldn’t refund us. People were loitering outside and in the parking lot, not fully dressed, hiding behind cars, swearing, and cooking on hot plates by the doors. The pool was covered in mold, parts of the building were falling apart, and other areas were fully condemned. The pictures online were completely deceptive and nothing like what we found when we arrived. If we could give zero stars, we would.

We were meant to stay at OYO, but never got into the room. There were about six guys looking over the balcony and window and opening the door, so we got nervous and told the receptionist we felt unsafe and needed a refund. She sent us to Mayfair, which she said was owned by the same company and wouldn’t cost us anything. This place was so nasty. I checked the bed and saw a stain as I went through more layers. The maintenance guy, George, said we could just cover it again with the protector. There were small dead bugs in the room, the floors needed sweeping and mopping, there was some kind of bug in the refrigerator, and the shower and curtain were dirty. When I checked the bed again, I saw blood near the lower part and at the foot of it. That was it for me. There was no phone or remote in the room either. I called the company to complain, and they were trying to reach the front desk. The owner was rude and said we could leave but wouldn’t get a refund. I called my bank. Don’t go to this hotel. So disgusting.

We left because the whole place reeked of cigarette smoke. We’d booked and paid two days earlier for a king, non-smoking room, but after check-in the owner suddenly yelled at the front desk attendant, saying the room number she’d given us was occupied. We were then told only a double-bed room was available. The owner kept disrespecting the attendant and acting unprofessionally until she quit and walked out on the spot. I wouldn’t recommend staying here or supporting this place.
