The breakfast area was clean, and the food was decent. The front desk clerk was kind and thoughtful, and arranged the particular floor and room I’d asked for.

I’ve stayed here before without this kind of problem, but this time the room was filthy. There were roaches, the TV didn’t work, and the chair had what looked like animal hair and white stains on it. They only turned the pillow over.

The bedspread was soiled, so we took a photo and showed it at the front desk. The clerk brought up a clean one. The door knobs were coated in black, sticky grime, and I was so appalled that I had my husband buy bleach so I could clean them. The curtains were faded and looked as if they might never have been replaced since the hotel opened. This place is badly outdated and needs remodeling. I’m shocked at how little care the owner has put into it. It needs to be closed. Don’t stay here.

The room was clean and mostly remodeled, and the hotel felt up to date. We paid much less than we normally would. The small town felt safe, the other guests were friendly, and there were good places to eat and shop nearby. Staff were kind and helpful, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. It worked out well for us, and we’ll stay again.
