I stayed here before and after my trip to Stowe. I had planned to switch to the courtyard or towneplace if I didn't like it, but the room and friendly front desk staff won me over, so I booked both nights here. The room was clean and had decent space, with plenty of breakfast choices. It exceeded what I expected, and I'd stay again on another visit to Burlington.

The coffee, tea, and water station was one of my favorite things, with lots of choices and available all the time. Staff were nice, and the hotel was close to everything, about a 5-minute drive to food or groceries like Chilis, Dublin, hannaford, and Texas road house. The only pool is outside, so it wasn't open when we were there, but that was no big deal. Breakfast had multiple options, including bacon, sausage, Greek yogourt, silk chocolate milk, muffins, juice, and more. Our room was great too, with a mini fridge and microwave, plus a big TV with lots of options, including YouTube and connecting your Netflix account. My only issue was the curtains: the middle panel was light and pale, so they didn't close all the way and let light through. I'd definitely go back. :))

The night I finally checked in, after telling the hotel several times that I would arrive on the 13th instead of the 12th to avoid a no-show, the front desk guy couldn't find my reservation. It had been cancelled, despite assurances that the room would be held. When I asked what was going on, he gave me a gross attitude. They put my girlfriend and me in a handicap room, apparently the only one available. Its secondary lock didn't work, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. It was late and I'd driven a long way, so I didn't raise it at the desk then. Between 1-2AM, I woke to a rattling door and what seemed like someone possibly trying to break in. Half asleep, I wondered if it was another room, but stayed awake in case someone actually got in. The sound stopped after a few minutes. I regret not checking through the peephole. I went to the mountain early for Valentine’s day at Stowe and told myself I'd deal with it after skiing. On the 14th, I asked a different desk worker why there was no secondary lock and whether I could see hallway video. They brushed off my concern condescendingly, as if I were born yesterday, and said there were no cameras in the hallway, though there are multiple outside the door. It made me wonder if staff were hiding something. I was furious and close to calling the police, but walked away to cool down so I wouldn't ruin Valentine’s day. I later checked here to see if anyone had a similar experience and found New Car Buyers' identical review. After calling for a general manager to explain or offer compensation and being told there wasn't one, I filed multiple complaints with Marriott. Now I've called the Williston police in an attempt to subpoena footage and investigate the hotel. My next step may be a lawyer or lawsuit if this isn't properly dealt with. @New Car Buyer. This is unsafe and negligent, and calling it the worst hotel I've stayed at would be an understatement. Adding to the most recent review before mine by New Car Buyer, absolutely do not stay here.

The staff were very friendly, and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were available at all times. Breakfast was well stocked and standard for a Marriott. The recently renovated Fairfield Marriott Inn had a squeaky-clean, spacious room with a large new TV and a very comfortable bed. It's just off the highway, and I'd definitely recommend it.

It's a Fairfield, nothing luxurious, and the walls are a bit thin, but it gets the job done. The beds were comfortable, and I liked that hot drinks were available all day. For a reasonable price, you get a clean, safe room, breakfast, and a strategic location. We'll likely stay here again when we're overnighting in Burlington.
