The building looked like it might be close to falling apart, and the room was one of the worst places I’ve stayed. The location and the word “bigfoot” in the name are about all I can say in its favor. The bed was broken, the linens and pillowcase were dirty, the floor and microwave were dirty, and there was hair in the shower. The place smelled awful. There were holes in the walls and blinds, including openings that let people watch you shower, and the smoke detector was missing. Need I go on? Please do yourself and your family a favor and stay somewhere else.

The woman at the front desk was really nice, but we had a bad stay and I can’t recommend this motel. The toilet and AC both didn’t work. We got a refund and drove to Redding, California, where we stayed somewhere much nicer. Until the place is fixed and gets a proper overhaul, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. 😞😞😞

My wife was so upset by how dirty the room was that she cried about having to sleep there. There was old food in the fridge, trash left by the previous guest, and plenty of leftovers in the corners and under the bed for the roaches and flies. We had no toilet paper or towels, either. The floor had soft spots and the AC was barely cool. With all that, plus what looked like health and building code violations, I don’t know how this place is open. A truly disappointing stay.

The rooms weren’t usable, even though the front desk lady was wonderful. She was kind and helpful, and offered my family rooms next to each other. One room had a broken AC and the other had no water in the toilet. She tried her best, apologized a lot, and explained that the owner doesn’t care much about the property. It’s a shame, and the owner needs to take better care of the place.

Mariah, the manager, made me feel much more at ease about traveling with just me and the kids. We’re thankful for the experience in this very sacred area.
