Courtyard Wilmington Brandywine

The pool was nice, and the downstairs barista made good coffee. Front desk staff seemed to be trying their best, but dealing with the people in charge was a mess. We stayed four days while roofers worked, and our room was right in the middle of it the whole time. Shingles kept hitting the window, and it was the loudest thing for all four days. The front desk said they'd comp two nights, so I agreed, then checked out 12 hours early. The next day I saw an extra two nights charged to my credit card. That got sorted out when I called, but they had forgotten about the promised two comp nights too. I asked for the GM, Mr. Christian Jones I believe, several times, and he never returned my calls and was apparently never there. I also contacted customer support, but Bailey and Liliana wouldn't let me send video of the shingles hitting the window and the tarp leading down it. They acted like I was trying to pull something, even though I made clear I wasn't asking for money back. I'll be traveling to Wilmington again soon and only wanted the two comp nights the front desk promised. If they wouldn't do that, I asked to speak with the location's GM. I never heard from him during all this. The lack of leadership and accountability really threw me for a loop, and there was no accountability from the Marriott Bonvoy support staff either.
