Hampton Inn Wilmington-Medical Park

The room was comfortable and updated, but there isn't a restaurant, something the reservation didn't really make clear, so plan to bring food or eat out. The bigger issue was having no hot water for a shower in the morning. When I raised it at the desk, the woman said everyone must be showering at once. This was at 6 a.m., which didn't seem likely. I asked for an adjustment to the room rate. She said she'd talk to the manager, but I never heard back.

We spend half the year in hotel rooms, and Jen and Megan at the Hampton Inn downtown medical Park Wilmington NC. are #1. Their rooms are clean and quiet, and most of the staff are accommodating and have wonderful personalities. That's why our company keeps choosing this Hampton Inn location. Hilton is lucky to have Jen and Megan. Thank y'all for the impeccable service.

We used to love this place when we first started coming about four years ago, but it's gotten worse over time, especially on our last two visits. The graveyard shift person was rude both times, and the morning desk person was rude too. The slingshot lady, though, is very nice. I tried to speak with the manager, but they couldn't find her. I left a message and got no response, then had to call back weeks later before I finally reached her. When I told her what happened, she made excuses for her staff and said other customers were happy with the team. At breakfast, my wife and I were sitting in the breakfast area, looking toward the pool inside the room. There were about 30 minutes left before breakfast ended, and plenty of omelets were out. No one else came in for a while, but then the omelets suddenly disappeared. About 15 minutes before closing, another group arrived, and the breakfast lady rudely said she didn't have time to make more. She'd had 30 minutes to prepare some. I went up for sausage and saw her being mean to a nice large family. When I asked for sausage, she snapped at me too. I wondered where all the omelets had gone, since nobody had come for food before that group and the whole pan was missing. She told them there'd be no more sausage or omelets, and they had to choose from what little else was left. She said there wasn't time to make more, and I brought it to the manager. This location is owned by franchise owners, not Hilton, and the service is declining fast. I stay at Hampton Inns all over the country and usually get great service, so it's sad, but I won't return here.

Erica was flexible and accommodating when I held my baby shower in the hotel's banquet hall. The price was reasonable, and the staff working that day were helpful. The event space was clean, and we could use the small kitchen area to prep food. I'd recommend this Hampton Inn for an event.
