Homewood Suites Wilmington Brandywine Vly

Longwood Gardens is a short drive away, which worked well for my visit. My room was spacious, clean, and very nice, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The fitness room, business center, and breakfast area were all more than serviceable. Breakfast itself was average, but I appreciated that hot coffee and ice water were always available. I'd stay again.

The room safe was out of order and kept displaying SER, which I assume means service. I should have reported it, but didn't. I also noticed beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby, and the shampoo and conditioner were fabulous. The parking area was well lit and felt safe. We were here for five nights and really enjoyed the stay. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of options, including eggs, meats, potatoes, bagels, muffins, scones, breads, cereal, and oatmeal. Monday through Thursday from 5-7pm, they put out enough food that we often ate there instead of going out. Lemonade, water, and sweet tea were offered, though I was surprised there wasn't unsweetened tea, so water was the only low-sugar choice. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The one real concern was that a small item was missing after the room was cleaned. I wasn't sure if it was taken or thrown away, so I waited until I got home and unpacked before posting. It is gone, and I had used it the night before the cleaning, so I know it was there.

I almost let the price put me off, but it turned out to be good value for a relaxing overnight stay in Nov 2025 at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Brandywine Valley-Wilmington. The living and sleeping spaces were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Sipping coffee from an actual ceramic mug by the beautiful fireplace felt like a little luxury. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. I'd come back and definitely recommend staying here.

I often stay here for work, and it feels like a home away from home. The staff treat me like family, and my suite is always fresh and clean. After a long workday, I like relaxing in the living room before bed. There are plenty of nearby places to eat if I don't want to cook in the room, and breakfast is always delicious.
