It rained during our early May stay, but we still had plenty to do. We played board games and worked on puzzles, then had a great time at the BYOB. We also went antiquing and shopping, and played candle pin bowling down the road, so we stayed busy and happy. The lodge is charming and was quiet, with few visitors around in the off season, just how we liked it. The owners were welcoming, fun to talk with, and went out of their way to suggest places to visit and eat. Our room was nice and a good size for us. We weren’t expecting a grand master bedroom. It’s a small, charming lodge in Southern Vermont, not a Hilton in the city! Everything was clean, and Debbie said cleanliness was her top priority. The owners are still working on the lodge and only recently opened parts of it, but they’ve done a fantastic job and have great ideas for what’s next. We were happy with everything and plan to return as soon as we can. Good job.
