The only thing going for this place is its location, close to everything. The rooms weren’t clean when we arrived, and I had to clean the disgusting bathroom myself before using it. The water was unclean and unsafe, and the service wasn’t great. There’s nobody actually at the building, so if something goes wrong you have to wait for someone to come. I should’ve gotten a refund, but didn’t. I’d rather sleep in my car. I’ll never come back. It’s an unsafe, unclean hazard.

The staff were so accommodating when the weather was dire, even taking the time to help us extend our stay by another night. Our family had an unexpectedly lovely experience. Thank you Mountain Brook Loge for the hospitality.

We had a great stay. The location is wonderful, with all kinds of dining nearby and easy access to skiing, hiking, and the town beach. The rooms were clean and updated, and everything at check-in and check-out went smoothly. It was affordable, the owners were friendly and accommodating, and Benjamin was a terrific host who was ready to help however he could.

Mountain Brook Lodge suited us perfectly for a night between our busy days exploring Lake Placid. It was clean, comfortable, and fairly priced, with the basics we needed: a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. Using door codes for keyless entry also made arrival and departure easy. We’d happily stay again on our next Lake Placid visit.

Plenty of parking and getting in and out was easy. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and the shower had good pressure with no clogging. There are stores within walking distance, and it’s convenient for Whiteface mountains.
