I’ve been here for over a week while waiting to move into my new apartment. The owner is super nice and caring, and clearly looks after the property. It feels very safe, with no trouble around the hotel, and I’ve had no issues. My double room has a nice kitchenette and a remodeled walk-in shower. The hotel is clean, the prices are good, and it’s close to everything. They also accept pets for a very low fee. I’m happy here and would highly recommend it if you need somewhere to stay.

The room was dirty when we arrived, smelled like people had smoked in it, and hadn’t been aired out. The hot water took more than ten minutes. When my boyfriend raised it, the same staff member first said cold weather makes it slow, then got snarky and said we might have to wait ten minutes. This is a budget place, but that’s no excuse for rude service or not listening when guests are polite. I was assigned an ADA room, but my wheelchair couldn’t get past the kitchenette. I was told policy didn’t allow me to leave my crated, quiet animals alone in the room for any amount of time. The man who checked me in was rude when I explained the service dog rules. I told him my pet dog was a pet and that service dogs don’t count toward occupancy limits under the ADA. He responded with a snide remark that service dogs, pets, emotional support animals, whatever, were all subject to a limit of two. Discrimination is illegal, and when a customer tries to explain the law, staff should listen and check whether the information is right. That didn’t happen. Retrain your staff on ADA laws. This trip sucked. The place in Lumberton treated us better, which is saying something. We weren’t forced to stay in a room with crated dogs there. Get it together.

There was plenty of food and shopping nearby, and the office staff were friendly. That was about all I liked. The room was dirty and smelled bad, with stains on the walls and an unappealing kitchenette. There were people hanging around outside the motel.

The low price doesn’t make up for the poor quality. Our room smelled moldy, there was blood on the pillow, and the staff were rude. People who seemed like drug users were everywhere, and some kicked our door. The staff brushed it off and did nothing. The positive reviews are lies. Don’t come here.
