I arrived at 1:30 in the morning after a long trip and a nightmare experience across the street at Element by Marriott and SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Even with a confirmed reservation, I was denied a room, treated terribly, and threatened by an employee. After an hour and a half of trying to find me somewhere to stay, they booked me at Tru by Hilton. I should have gone there myself an hour earlier. I was exhausted and shaken, but the front desk associate at Tru was kind and empathetic. She listened to what had happened, acknowledged how awful it was, and treated me with care and professionalism, even though it had nothing to do with her hotel. That meant a lot after such a stressful day. The room wasn't the biggest or most comfortable I've stayed in, but that didn't matter then. The team's hospitality turned my day around, and I'm very grateful. I'd absolutely stay there again.

The hotel is clean and well kept, and the GM and his team are friendly, communicate well, and do a lot to accommodate guests. They are the best hotel staff I've met, even compared with some higher end hotels around the world. We travel with our boat, so the location and parking lot worked perfectly for us, with plenty of space and a boat ramp nearby. We'll stay here whenever we're in town.

We've booked this location at least five times in the past year, and every stay has been a good one. The staff are polite, and the rooms and common areas are clean. Cell service in the rooms can be spotty, but there's free WiFi. There's also plenty of space in the rooms for a pack and play if you're bringing one.

The people here made me feel great, including the breakfast attendant, and the breakfast was delicious. Ella was kind and helpful when I called, then James at the front desk listened to the challenges I was facing and found a way to make the trip positive. Gracie understood my issue when I checked out the next day and sent me on my way smiling. Everyone was professional and courteous. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay again. Thank you, cew3rd Folly Beach/SC

Carissa, the desk manager at Tru Wilmington Wrightsville Beach, made us feel like family and even remembered us from last year. She was friendly, polite, and attentive. The rooms were clean, the water pressure was excellent, and everything was great. We'll definitely stay again.
