Hampton Inn & Suites Wilson I-95

We don’t usually write hotel reviews, but this stay earned one. Breakfast was great, with eggs, potatoes, and sausage, and the breakfast area and whole hotel were very clean. Everything was better than we expected. Keith at the front desk was especially kind and helpful, and after a long travel day he was friendlier than most people you meet at a front desk.

I stayed for 28 days on a business trip, and the staff were friendly throughout. Keith at the front desk always remembered my name and was especially welcoming. Frances also did a great job with breakfast every morning. The hotel was very clean, had great amenities, and sits conveniently off I-95. There are a few restaurants nearby, a convenience store right next door, and Raleigh is about an hour away.

Everything seemed okay until breakfast. A woman kept monitoring people as they served themselves and yelled at me for using the wrong utensil to put an omelet on my plate. Five minutes later she did the same to an elderly woman. I watched the woman start visibly shaking and clutching her heart, and it nearly gave her a heart attack. There’s no reason to yell at people over something so silly. In my opinion, that woman shouldn’t work in customer service.

Keith deserves a thank you for the help he gave me on Thanksgiving evening. I’d forgotten to bring some items, and he went above and beyond to find what I needed and make the experience a positive one. Keep up the good work, Keith!
