Everything you need is nearby, with Walmart, Dutch Bros, and McDonald’s next door. I’ve stayed here about six times; it’s suitable, always clean, and the front desk staff do what they can. Breakfast is sparse, though. I got a banana and coffee, and there wasn’t much else. The indoor hot tub is nice when kids aren’t in the pool, since it gets too loud to enjoy otherwise. Some air conditioners work better than others, and the walls are thin enough that I could hear the neighbors talking and a child crying.

The room was nice and clean, and thankfully it didn’t smell. The hotel is pet friendly, and the staff were friendly. But the elevator and hallways had a really strong animal urine odor. They should replace that carpeting with flooring like the rooms have, keep pets on one floor, or clean the area more often. It’s a shame some pet owners aren’t more considerate when traveling with their animals. This is actually a Motel 6 now. We had to park across the street at a Starbucks because they were redoing some of the lot and there weren’t enough spaces.

I had to stay an extra night and chose a cheap Motel 6. It was the first one I’d seen where all the rooms were accessed from inside. The hallways smelled so awful I was dry heaving all the way up to the fourth floor. Thank God the room wasn’t as bad, or I would’ve puked. I’m giving the room a star for sparing me the hallway smell.

After an eight-hour workday and an eight-hour drive from Boise, my wife and daughter arrived to find the first room had no tub stopper or shower lever, so they couldn’t take a bath. They asked to move. The next room reeked of cat pee, the window wouldn’t shut, and it was freezing. It looked like they’d left the window open to air out the smell. When they asked for another room, the clerk basically told them to choose between taking a bath or putting up with the cat pee. They chose the bath and turned the heat way up. All that for $100 a night. Go somewhere else.

For $70 a night, don’t expect a five-star Farimont hotel. This works if you’re just planning to sleep here and spend the whole day out. Breakfast is the usual oatmeal, waffles, and toast, nothing special. The room was fine except for a slight humid smell.
