We found the hotel easy to reach from I-81, and check-in was simple with friendly staff. Our room was quiet, comfortable, immaculate, and very well maintained, one of the cleanest Hampton Inns we’ve stayed in. After a long day on the road from Florida to Elmira, it was a clean, comfortable, safe overnight stop. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked, with eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles, and the usual Hampton Inn choices. The dining area was organized and clean, too. There aren’t many restaurants right at this exit besides Five Guys, so we drove back to the previous Winchester exit for more choices, including Olive Garden nearby. The lot also seemed a little dark at night, and residential homes sit next to the property. We’d stay again for an affordable, comfortable stop with good breakfast and easy highway access.

Because of digestive challenges, I bring my own food, so having a kitchenette in the room was wonderful. It even had a sink where I could wash the few dishes I used. The room was exceptionally clean, orderly, and comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. If you need a place in Winchester, VA, we say stay here. You'll love it!

Breakfast was great, and the staff keeping it going made sure everything stayed fresh and full. The whole team took good care of us, from the front desk to the breakfast area. General Manager Peter is great, and Jennifer, Ricky, Shamaya, Elyse, Judy, Rodney and Natasha were top notch. As Hilton Diamond members, we expect Hilton’s best, and that’s what we got here: clean, comfortable rooms and excellent showers with strong water pressure. The neighborhood has places to eat and shop, and the hotel runs smoothly. If you need a hotel in Winchester, stay here.

The only thing I’d change is the pillows. They were soft and flat, with no support, even though the bed itself was very comfortable. We were here for Shenandoah University Homecoming, and the location made getting to SU easy. The lobby and rooms have a sleek, modern look, and everything was tidy and clean. A microwave and mini fridge made the room handy as a weekend base. Breakfast was included and very good, with eggs, bacon, oatmeal, breads, bagels, muffins, and make-your-own waffles. WiFi was fast and strong in the room and around the lobby and breakfast area. We’ll stay here on our next trip to Winchester.

There are several fast food places within walking distance, and this is a pretty good Hilton property. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy, and I was wary driving behind a questionable gas station and used car lot. Once there, though, the Hampton Inn was clean and well maintained, and the service was great. No cookies in the evening, unfortunately. It’s a shame that hotels seem to have decided really good service isn’t needed during or after COVID 19. Still, this is a good place to stay in the area.
