The bathroom mat went black as soon as it got wet, and the comforters and shower curtain had gross stains. The whole place was filthy, easily the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. I threw out my clothes and toiletries when I left. I took plenty of pictures and plan to post them online. The reviews I read before booking were BS. I saw truck stop bathrooms between Tennessee and Michigan that were a thousand times cleaner.

We were here for two nights for a family reunion, and I hardly recognized the place from my earlier stay. It has potential, but the pool seemed to have been closed for a while, with a dirty surrounding area and damaged lawn furniture. The lot was messy, and weeds had taken over the flower beds. I even showed how easily they could be pulled out. The rooms looked passable at first, but need a proper deep clean, and some furniture is so worn it needs replacing. Fruit flies hovered around the juice machine, and there was almost nothing available for breakfast. Staff responded quickly when we raised a couple of issues, but didn’t necessarily resolve them. We heard there was no maintenance person, which may be part of the trouble. It would take people who care about the work and enough staff to get this place back in shape. I don’t know if we’ll stay here again.

The heater roared like a freight train, and the walls let through every sound. There was mold in the shower, paint peeling off the walls, and smoke detectors with low batteries. Nasty place. Find somewhere else to stay.

The staff were nice, but the room was a mess. It smelled awful, and there was an open can of beans and an open bag of radishes in the fridge. Housekeeping was still in the room when we first came in. The sheets and towels had holes and stains, the faucet ran constantly, and the toilet wasn’t bolted down, so it shuddered and banged loudly whenever we sat on it. The bathroom handle had broken off, leaving a jagged edge that cut me, and the deadbolt had been ripped off the door. The pool was drained in June, with no notice anywhere. Wi-Fi was poor, and the TV worked the first day but never again.

We stayed one night because my husband needed to shower after work, the other motel was full, and we didn’t want to drive back to Manchester. As soon as the other place had a room, we booked it. This one was run down and smelled damp. The air conditioner sounded like a struggling plane, and I could see daylight under the poorly sealed door. The security lock had been removed and put back crookedly above its old spot. The floors hadn’t been swept, the walls had marks and drywall problems, and the bathroom fan was clogged and didn’t work. There was mold on the ceiling and walls, and water was on the tiled floor, so it was clear it hadn’t been mopped. We later found out the too-small shower curtain let water spill over the tub and run through the grout. The toiletries were already open, the hangers were rusty, and there was no ice bucket bag. The bed was lumpy and too soft, on a rickety metal frame that made noise when you sat down. We heard one car later that night but don’t know if they were guests, and saw no one in the morning. It felt creepy. This motel needs a full overhaul. The location is okay, but it’s one of only two motels in town.
