Sheraton Hartford Hotel at Bradley Airport

Logan at reception was friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel is handy for an early or late flight, with a long hallway connecting it to the airport. Our room seemed recently renovated and was okay, though it was beside the elevator and had no view. There was ongoing construction during our stay.

There isn't any breakfast included, so you have to pay for it. There was also renovation work going on, and guests relaxing in their rooms during the day could hear drilling from the lobby on the third floor. The rooms themselves are fine, but there's no microwave or bathtub. If you want to heat food, everyone has to use the single microwave in the lobby, so you may have to wait in line. The Google Maps photos show a pool, but that's misleading: it's been closed for five years.

I was irritated to find a $2 “to go” fee added to my bill after ordering food to go from the hotel restaurant. It's only $2, but it feels like a money grab, especially since nobody told me about it before I ordered.

Sue was so kind to our two kids. Our flight got in late, around 1:00am, and the next one left before 6:00, leaving us only a few hours to sleep. Our room at the end of the hall was very quiet. When we checked out, she knew the restaurants had closed before we arrived and weren't open yet, so she told the kids to grab a snack “on her”. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot.
