Town House Motel

The heater, microwave, and TV all worked, and it was a dry place to sleep. But it's an older property that needs updating, from the tiled shower and tubs to the bedspreads. There were some stains here and there, and the walls could use fresh paint. It needs remodeling.

We were stuck with the booking because it was through a service, and there were no refunds. The place was filthy, with trash all over, so I'd suggest driving by before getting a room. The bathrooms were dirty, with old soap in the corners, and the whole place was messy. Nobody had cleaned under the beds. For some reason, my husband pulled out all kinds of junk from beneath one. Never again.

The rooms looked nothing like the photos, and this was a terrible place. When I asked to cancel and get a refund, I was told the owner no longer lived in the state and getting him on the phone would be impossible. I also spoke with a Travelocity agent, who got a different explanation: the owner wasn't in residence, and we'd have to wait until the next day, when the approving manager could come to work. This place needs to be put out of business.

Town House Motel had stained carpets, broken lamps, several lights that didn't work, loose door handles, stained towels, hair in the shower, no bath mat, and an ice machine that was out of order. Power strips were daisy-chained together, which seemed like a fire hazard. It got so bad it was almost comical. I can't believe all the five-star reviews, and I won't forget my first and only trip to Winnemucca. This is easily the worst place I've stayed.
