Express Suites Riverport Inn & Suites

The front desk was never staffed, and the service and hospitality were terrible. Common areas and the hot tub were filthy. There was dust all over our room, plus leaves inside the sliding door behind the curtain. We told a staff member the small workout room was filthy, and he just shrugged. Another employee didn't even know where the fitness room was. There are much better places to choose from.

The car bed and little patio were fun, and the location was great. The place is pet friendly and has a pool and hot tub, but our stay was spoiled by a broken pull-out couch we needed as a bed. When we discovered it, we went to the front desk for help and waited ten minutes, but nobody came. A staff member had only said, "aww that's too bad" about our room issues. I ended up sleeping on the floor, and the carpet was crusty. The unusable couch bed and poor customer service left a bad impression.

We were with a group that picked this motel, and I wouldn't choose it for myself again. The staff were pleasant and tried to help, but we ran into too many problems. We paid extra for the king master suite because it had an in-room jacuzzi. After filling it, we saw so much hair and other stuff in the water that we couldn't use it. There were dead roaches under the mattress and cobwebs across the walls and ceiling, and the toilet stopped flushing and clogged. The place is conveniently in town, with Walmart, Target, and restaurants within walking distance, but the property feels old and dated.

Everyone who helped us get checked in early was great. The luxury suite was larger than we expected, including the room and the Jacuzzi.
