The room was huge, maybe too much so, because the space felt empty and oddly laid out. We had the two-bedroom suite, with a full-size fridge and dishwasher, but I wish some of that extra room had been used for a second bathroom. Our extra linens had visible stains on the blanket. The air conditioners were also controlled inconsistently, some from wall panels and others on the units, and the room smelled a little musty when the air was off. That seemed odd in such a new hotel. The pool looked nice, though it was too cool for us to use it. Still, at $115 a night, the value was excellent and I’d stay again. The front desk staff were consistently friendly, and it was nice having food and a bar at the hotel. Flamingo Crossing is a great area, very close to Disney, shopping, and restaurants. There’s a Target within walking distance, the smallest one I’ve ever seen, but it had what we needed.

Paula and Blanca made our stay at the Home2 Suites at Flamingo Crossing feel special from the moment we arrived. They were warm and professional, paid attention to what we wanted, and even arranged a complimentary room upgrade that really improved the trip. As a Hilton Diamond member and Hilton credit card holder, service matters a lot to me, and they went beyond what I expected. That kind of care doesn’t go unnoticed. The breakfast was the best we’ve had at any Home2, and it kept us full well into our first Disney park day. EV charging was easy to access, Level 2 only. The room was a little strange, with bare walls and carpets that felt damp, so I didn’t love it. The location worked fine, though. We drove to Magic Kingdom without trouble and were among the first in line for early entry. This was a quick overnight at the start of our Disney trip, and I’d consider staying again if I found a good rate.

The location is handy for WDW parks and nearby places to eat, and the free breakfast has both hot and cold food. It gets crowded quickly, with lines for food and tables, though the patio helps. On weekends it opens an hour later, at 7am rather than 6am on weekdays, so early risers can’t get a quiet breakfast. Parking costs $20 a night and isn’t ideal: there are only five or six accessible spots for the whole property, and the nearby garage is inconvenient if you’re disabled. The rooms are spacious with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, plates, glasses, and other kitchen basics. There’s a movable table and chair, and the sitting area is okay. The sofa bed is nice in theory, but both its springs and mattress are worn out, squeaky, and noisy. The bathroom is extremely small, with a cramped shower, weak water pressure, and a broken showerhead. When I asked for extra pillows, I was told they had none. Four working elevators made getting around easy. Hilton Honors app check-in was simple and let me choose my room number and head straight there. That was useful since front desk staff were rarely visible and very hard to reach by phone.
