The parking lot can’t fit cars for all three places, but the night manager moved his car so I could park. Kudos to him. I used to travel for work about 230 days a year, and after staying in some of the world’s nicest hotels, I still found the cleanliness of room 211 remarkable. It’s a standard room, but truly clean. For people who travel a lot, cleanliness matters more than anything. The building is a bit dated, but that’s not a flaw, and everything is maintained as it should be. I’d avoided it before because it was an “Inn,” but this little place has a bar and restaurant on site, and it’s superbly clean. The bed’s quite comfortable too. If you’re here for a night or two on business or to ski, you can’t go wrong.

We were in town for a concert at the local park this weekend, and had a great stay. The staff were warm and friendly, and on point. The rooms were clean, with comfy beds and pillows. Coffee was awesome, and the restaurant on the main floor served amazing food. I highly recommend it.

We were in a bind after a late-night reservation mix-up at another hotel, and the person handling the overnight calls helped sort everything out and get us settled. I wish I remembered her name so I could thank her. Raven, the night manager, and David, the housekeeping manager, also gave us great service. The Vasquez Creek inn was clean and cozy, with simple, just-right amenities. The staff really went out of their way for us. Thanks again.

That front desk interaction really threw off our plans. I’d called ahead about checking in early and was told the room was ready and I could arrive whenever. When I got there, the woman at the desk said it wasn’t ready, seemed unkind and unprofessional, and didn’t appear concerned that I’d been given the wrong information. She said it would be ready by 2:00 p.m., but when I called then, it still wasn’t. I know the regular check-in time was 4:00 p.m., and that was fine. I just wish I hadn’t been told I could come early, since I rearranged my plans around it. The location downtown was great, though, and our room was cute, quiet, and cozy, with a really comfortable bed. The $10 breakfast coupons for the cafe next door were a nice bonus, and the food was delicious.

I didn't stay at the inn, but I had an amazing meal at Volario's. The lamb and gnocchi were so good, and the prices were lower than I expected. Service felt just right, attentive without hovering or disappearing. I also loved the casual front room, it felt homey. Highly recommend!
