Sue was a big help during my January 15-18 stay. She was friendly to talk with at breakfast, kind to other guests, and offered suggestions and names of Winterset area programs and assistance for new Winterset residents. We didn’t know about some of those local services, so we really appreciated her knowledge. Thank you, Sue. All the staff were amazing, polite, and kind, and ready to make my stay pleasant. The rooms are clean and have many nice upgrades, and I’m grateful for the new management, which has been exceptional. This was my fourth stay at The Covered Bridge Inn since July, including two under the previous management. I plan to stay at The Covered Bridge Inn again on my next visit to Winterset and hope to see Sue. Best wishes for continued success in their new endeavors.

Sue, the assistant manager, I think, was the most memorable part of our pleasant overnight stay. She was genuinely friendly and helpful, and you could tell she loves people and her job. Check-in was easy, and breakfast was delicious.

I was here for work a few weeks ago and had a great stay. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The staff were extremely helpful and even had coffee ready at 5:00 am each morning to fit our schedule, which was critical for us. It’s a quiet, low-key, comfortable place, and the rates are excellent.

The owners are so friendly, and the rooms are very clean. They’re constantly updating and renovating. During my stay, I saw them replace the ACs, the upper-level carpet, and toilets. Breakfast was really good too, especially the waffle maker. 10/10, I’d definitely recommend it.
