Wolf Creek Inn & Tavern

The Christmas decorations made the holiday stay feel especially memorable, and really brought out the magic of the season. The place has a rich history, the owners and staff are warm and welcoming, and both the rooms and hearty meals were clean, comfortable, and delicious. I had an absolutely amazing stay. Anyone who gets the chance should stay here.

The Oregon Mule was excellent, and the place itself is lovely. The rest of dinner was a letdown, though. Three of our four orders came out wrong, so we waited for the meals to be made again. Management apologized and lowered the price, and gave us a free drink because one sandwich had a rock hard bun. When the four ribeyes arrived, they looked good and were cooked how we liked them, but they were very thin and bland. There was no seasoning on the food and barely any vegetables. A disappointing meal overall, even with the very nice staff.

Sunday breakfast was wonderful. The autumn Halloween decorations in the rooms and yard outside were a highlight for us.

The town is kind of special, and it’s worth going when the restaurant is open. At the inn, the shower had great pressure and was spacious enough that I didn’t have to bend down. The bed was comfortable, and that’s about all you could ask for in a historic place. There’s no TV, which got people talking to each other again, and no iron or hair dryer for the ladies, so it wouldn’t suit a business trip. I’m unsure whether the voice and a few piano notes I thought I heard were a ghost, a dream, or just me hearing myself. Still, I’ll absolutely come back.
