Lake Wentworth Inn

The showers were the biggest letdown, they never got hot, just cold or maybe room temperature. Light from the porch also came through the back window and lit up the room at night. Curtains on the back doors or a way to switch off that outside light would help. The old inn is cute, and the small rooms work well for one or two people. They were clean and updated. Beds were decent, though not great.

The rooms were a little small, but exactly what we expected and sparkling clean when we arrived. We were in town for a wedding and there was a mistake in my reservation, entirely my fault. The two women I spoke to by phone were patient and kind, and helped my fiancé and me find a solution without making me feel foolish. With some luck and their careful attention, we got a room and things worked out perfectly. They clearly care about guests. The town was only a five minute drive away, which was even better.

Terri and Cocoa greeted us as soon as we arrived and shared lots of helpful information. Our room was just right, really clean, and had a very comfortable bed. There was coffee and a few light snacks available too. We were visiting to see our grandson perform in the high school play Cinderella, and this was a perfect place to stay. We plan to return.

We’re staying here temporarily after a house fire, and Terri at the front desk has been amazing. She and Tammy have both gone out of their way to help us. The rooms are nice, and the game room is fun. A great place to stay.
