We came to learn about the Pickering family through our genealogy research, though we didn’t stay at the inn. The receptionist kindly let us look inside and shared useful information about the family and local history. She also suggested a nearby restaurant, and we had a really enjoyable meal there. The building is very old but has been restored beautifully. We’d certainly consider staying if we’re back in the area.

We had such a great stay at the Pickering House Inn last week. The town is cute, and the inn was even better. The rooms, staff, and breakfast were all amazing. Already counting down until we can come back!

Andrea and Joanne made a big difference with their friendly help and knowledge of the area. Andrea even checked that our group had everything we needed when my sister and her husband joined us for nightly card games in a common room. The inn is within walking distance of downtown, and the big, cozy rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was delicious each day, and the common rooms were roomy and inviting too. We stayed for a weekend visit with my family, and it was relaxing and wonderful.

The comfort and service at Pickering House made the whole stay feel like being at home. I can’t say enough about Patty and her staff. The bedding was so comfortable that I copied down its labels so I could recreate it at home. Breakfast had plenty of savory and sweet dishes, along with delicious local coffee. My travel companion’s service dog Molly was welcome to stay on the job throughout the inn. It’s a beautiful place to relax and use as a base for day trips around the Wolfeboro lake region. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

Fresh baked treats in the afternoon and warm help with our luggage from Liz set a welcoming tone right from arrival. Andrea and Jennifer also took a real interest in hearing about our days out. Breakfast with Barbara was a treat, and she impressed us with her cooking and knowledge of local history. Pickering House Inn gave us such thoughtful hospitality and memorable accommodations. I highly recommend it.
