Days Inn by Wyndham Woodbury Long Island

I woke up in the middle of the night because the room smelled so awful. I left the door wide open to try to deal with it, and even then I nearly slept in my car. I couldn’t face another night of that smell, so I checked out the next day. If you’re sensitive to odors like I am, I really don’t recommend staying here.

I had to cancel because of a health emergency, but management showed no compassion. I never used or even stayed in the room, and still had a hard time getting any help or flexibility. Their policy came before basic customer care, adding stress to an already difficult time. Extremely frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend this location.

I was there from December 21 to December 26, and it was a disappointing stay. Breakfast had been advertised as included, but what they offered was just a cereal bar and coffee or tea. That doesn’t feel like a real breakfast, especially when we paid for it. There was no explanation beforehand, notice, or compensation. It felt misleading and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or stay there again.

The staff at the desk and elsewhere were polite and helpful. The room was clean, and we enjoyed our stay as a family. Parking was right in front of or around each room. There’s a diner within walking distance, plus Starbucks and other shops across the street, including clothing, liquor, and a market. Other than Starbucks, the shops seemed independent, so expect each to have its own character. A few things took away from the stay: the internet was spotty and I had to keep setting up a connection during my child’s use. Having to memorize the password was annoying. There was no microwave in the room like we’d had at other places, and despite what I’d read online, breakfast was just coffee and a small snack.
